Quick Programming Books

My name is David Matuszek, and this page is about my currently available computer books. If you want to more about me, see this page. If you want to know about my science fiction, see this page.

These are quick starter books. The idea is to get you up to speed as quickly as possible on a new topic. I assume you already know how to program, so there are no explanations of what a byte is or what functions are for. Nothing but meat here. But also, these are not encyclopedias--you don't need to know everything before you can do anything.

The earlier books were self-published with a different title theme, for example, I Guess We're Doing Python Now. I had spent some time in industry. If, like me, you have been bounced around from one project to another, these titles may resonate with you. “Hey Dave, we're moving you to a different project tomorrow; hope you know Python.”

Each cover image relates to the book's topic in some way. For example, Java is represented by an 800-pound gorilla. Do you see the allusion behind each of the others?
